Our products install from a browser, with no command line. You can do it yourself, or we can do it for you: installation is a one-time $50. You buy the domain and a hosting plan or VPS from any provider, and the $50 covers our work only. Installation is free if you subscribe to managed hosting.
What the installation service does
An install has several parts that are easy for a developer and unfamiliar to everyone else. With the installation service we take care of them:
- Check the server. The PHP version, the database version, the PHP extensions the product needs, and HTTPS.
- Point the domain at the right folder. The document root has to be the application’s
/publicfolder, so your configuration is never reachable from the web. - Create the database and run the product’s installer.
- Set up your administrator account and the basics such as currency and timezone.
The result is a running installation you can log in to. Entering your own menu, products, staff and prices is covered in each product’s documentation.

Prefer to do it yourself
Every product has an installation guide in its documentation, and the shared hosting and server requirements pages list what your host needs. Resto and Nexus need no Node.js, Redis, WebSockets, queue workers or cron. A $10 a month hosting plan or VPS does the job for most installs.
Not part of installation
The $50 does not include hosting or a domain name, which you buy from any provider. Changes to the software itself, such as new features or custom screens, are custom development. Ask through the support portal and we will tell you what is possible.

Will I still own the software?
Yes. You get the full, unencrypted source code and every future update, and your data sits in your own database. See your data, your server.
