Managed hosting or a hosted subscription
A hosted subscription also runs the server for you, but you pay for every user every month for as long as you use it, and the software and your data live in the vendor’s environment. With managed hosting you pay once for the software and $12 a month for the hosting and care of the server, and the software stays yours. What does managed hosting cost?
$12 a month, with the hosting on our dedicated servers, the server management and the installation included. The only other thing you need is a domain name. The multi-tenant products, Stocky SaaS and Nexus SaaS, need more from a server, so ask us about those.
Is installation free?
Yes, when you subscribe to managed hosting. Without it, installation is a one-time $50 for our work, and you buy your own domain and a hosting plan or VPS from any provider. See the installation service.
Do I need to buy hosting?
No. Your software runs on our dedicated servers, and that is included in the $12 a month. You only buy a domain name.
Do I still own the software and my data?
Yes. The licence is one-time and includes the full source code and every future update, and your data is in your own database. See your data, your server.
Can I move to my own server later?
Yes. Your data is in your own database, so it can be moved to a server you run, and you can also move from your own server to managed hosting.
Do I need a technical person?
No. That is what the service is for: we run the server, so there is nothing for you to set up or keep up to date on it.
What if I would rather run it myself?
