Mobile Phone Shop POS and Repair Software

Track every handset by IMEI, run repair jobs from intake to delivery, and sell accessories at the same counter, in a POS you buy once and host yourself.

A phone shop sells two things: devices that must be traced by serial number, and repairs that must be tracked from the moment a customer hands one over. Stocky POS does both in one system, with the till, the stockroom and the repair bench sharing one record. You buy it once and run it on your own server.

Know where every handset is

  • One serial or IMEI per unit

Switch on serial tracking for a product and each unit needs its own number. Receiving a purchase asks for the serials, and selling asks you to pick which units leave.

  • Returns bring back a specific unit

When a customer returns a phone, that exact unit goes back into stock, so the record always matches the shelf.

  • Four serial reports

Available Serial Numbers, Sold Serial Numbers, Serial Movement Log and Product Serial Inventory show where any unit is and where it has been.

The Warranty and Guarantee report combines each serial number with the product’s warranty period, so a customer’s claim can be checked against the sale.

Run the repair bench

  1. Intake. Book the device in against the customer, and attach photos of its condition.
  2. Diagnostic and quote. The job moves through diagnostic to quoted before any work starts.
  3. In progress. The job is assigned to a technician and carries the parts used, taken from stock, and the labour, sold as service products. Technicians tick off inspection checklists.
  4. Ready and delivered. The job moves to ready, then delivered, with its warranty period and payments recorded on it.

Each customer keeps a maintenance history, so you can see every repair a handset has had. Customers can also book appointments for a service, with a date and time.

Sell accessories at the same counter

  • Variants. A parent product with variants such as size, colour or capacity, each with its own code, price, cost, image and stock.
  • Barcodes and labels. Scan with USB or Bluetooth scanners, and print labels from five templates, sent straight to a TSPL printer over USB or the network.
  • Payments. Split and multi-payment sales. A partial payment is saved with the balance on the customer’s ledger, and a customer with a credit limit cannot go past it.
  • Offline. The register keeps selling through an outage and syncs when the connection returns.
  • Loyalty. Customers earn points on what they spend, at the rate you set.

More than one shop

Run unlimited warehouses with stock transfers between them and reports per warehouse. Create your own roles, and limit users to specific warehouses, so each shop sees its own stock. Purchases, supplier returns and bulk import from CSV or Excel are included, along with double-entry accounting and an online store that can sync with WooCommerce and Shopify.

Good to know. The documentation does not list trade-ins, buying used devices for resale, or instalment payment plans with scheduled due dates. Partial payments with a balance on the customer’s ledger are supported. If you need the others, ask us before you buy.

What it costs

Stocky POS starts at $28, paid once. That includes the source code, free updates for life and 6 months of support. There is no per-shop or per-user fee. See all prices and what owning costs over five years.

Where it runs

Stocky POS needs PHP 8.2 or newer and MySQL or MariaDB. The camera scanner needs your site served over HTTPS. See the server requirements. If you would rather not set it up yourself, we offer a managed self-hosted service from $20 a month where we manage your installation.

Questions

Can I track IMEI numbers?

Yes. Switch on serial tracking for a product and each unit needs one serial or IMEI. Purchases capture it, sales pick the unit, and returns bring that unit back.

Can I record repairs and the parts used?

Yes. A service job carries the parts used, taken from stock, and the labour, along with photos, a warranty period and payments. It moves from intake to delivered.

Can a customer book a repair slot?

Yes. Appointments take a customer, a service or resource, and a date and time.

Does it handle trade-ins?

The documentation does not list trade-ins, so ask us if you need them.

Which licence does a phone shop need?

Running your own shop is one project of your own. The licence guide explains the Regular and Extended licences.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The Stocky POS page links to a live demo.
