The licences differ in one thing: who pays for what you build with the software? If nobody does, Regular is enough. If clients, customers or subscribers pay, you need Extended.
Three questions
1. Will anyone be charged for what you run on it?
Think about your clients, your customers and your subscribers. Charging for your own restaurant’s food, your own shop’s goods or your own company’s work does not count: you are using the software, not selling it.
- No, it runs my own business or project: go to question 2 and expect Regular.
- Yes, I build it for a client, or I sell access to it as a service or subscription: you need Extended.
2. Is it one of the SaaS editions?
Stocky SaaS and Nexus SaaS are built to be sold to tenants, so they follow their own rule.
- Launching one SaaS under your own brand and charging your tenants: Regular is enough.
- Building separate branded platforms for several clients (agency or reseller): Extended, with one instance per client.
3. Is it Mentor LMS or its AI plugin, and how many domains?
- One domain, personal or internal use: Regular.
- One domain, students or customers pay: Extended.
- Several domains, students or customers pay: Unlimited. It is offered only on ui-lib.com.
Your answer, at a glance
| What you are doing | Licence |
|---|---|
| Running Stocky POS, Resto or Nexus for your own business, nobody charged | Regular |
| Setting up Stocky POS, Resto or Nexus for a client | Extended, one per client project |
| Selling Stocky POS, Resto or Nexus as a service or subscription | Extended |
| Launching one Stocky SaaS or Nexus SaaS platform under your brand | Regular |
| Building SaaS platforms for several clients | Extended, one instance per client |
| Running Mentor LMS for your own internal training, one domain | Regular |
| Selling courses or exams with Mentor LMS on one domain | Extended |
| Selling courses or exams with Mentor LMS on several domains | Unlimited |
Under every licence you may not sell, lease or hand over the source code itself, as it is or modified. A licence covers one project. A second project needs its own licence.
Questions
Can I upgrade from Regular to Extended later?
Not automatically. Contact us with your order and we will tell you what is possible.
I run a restaurant and I charge customers for meals. Do I need Extended?
No. Charging for your own food or goods is using the software, not selling it. Extended is for projects where the software itself, or access to it, is what people pay for.
I build Resto for a restaurant owner and charge them for the setup. Which one?
That is a client project, so it needs Extended, with one licence per client project.
What do all licences have in common?
